On my first visit to KOD, I and my partner, wished gravy fish for lunch. On checking menu, we happily ordered Gravy Prawn with Brown Rice. It was super tasty! Prawns were nicely cooked. If in KOD, do visit here, if fond of WB dishes. Time in food reaching your table is long, not appreciated at all.
Otherwise, for food, its superb!
Never been to west Bengal, but "Tangra" was my only glimpse of Bengali food though the food i ordered was of Chinese origin with Bengali touch they said.
First of all the ambience, it was very culture oriented with various arts and sculptures embedded in to the walls, and overall lighting is on the dim side which makes dinner time calm and peaceful.
The food, combo of Chicken Manchurian and noodles, with a soup, i must say they tasted very unique, didn't tasted like regular Chinese but it was nice and tasty.
Overall it was good experience and if you visit culture gully, don't miss it.
Being a bong what amazing it is to found our very own Tangra in Gurgaon. An amazing place in Kolkata where you get India Chinese food. I was thrilled to be there. Food was also nice specially Prawn malaikari with steamed rice. We also tried chowmin which was nice too. Hope to taste few more items on our next visit.
